David Woodruff Jr. wad the son of David Woodruff Sr. (died 1749) and Eunice Ward

In his father David's will dated 24 April 1749, David Woodruff Sr. names wife Eunice as an Executor, along with Abner Ward of Newark, her brother. David Woodruff Sr.'s will also names his children; Abner, David. Nathaniel, Jedediah, Jonathan, Elias, Jabesh, Usel, and Eunice, "all under age," so David Woodruff Jr. was born no earlier than 1731 (so, after 1730). ^[1]

David Woodruff Jr. married twice:

1. Abt. 1740 Sarah Davis who died 25 January 1748/49 in Elizabethtown, NJ
2. 17 Dec 1754 on Staten Island to Sarah Zeluff born 9 January 1726/27 (believed to be a daughter of Zielhof-1

Will: 13 November 1795 abstract of (AJA XXXVII p 480) To "Daughter Esthe Randall all the moiety or equal one-half of land in the Miami Lands, commonly called Symmes' purchase, held in common with John Hendricks, proprietor of other half. Daughter Mary Hendricks, 6 acres off west end of island and to adjoin land of said John Hendricks; also 12 pounds. Grandson, John Woodruff, one-half of homestead, also one-half of woodland on the Neck; Granddaughter Hannah Zeluffee, the other one-half part of homestead, woodland and remainder of lands, also my large bedstead. Executors Jesse Woodruff and John Zeluffe; Witnesses: John Nutman, Silas Woodruff, John Jewell. Proven 19 Dec, 1795, Inventory by Jonathan Price and Ezekeil Woodruff. ^[3]
