Biography

Janet was born in the 1850s in Scotland Prior to 1855 there was no statutory registration of births.

She wed Thomas in 1881 in Neilston . ^[1]

She died aged 81 in 1934 in Paisley ^[2]

Research note

There is a birth recorded in 1857 of a Janet Woods in Kilwinning but this may not be the Janet who married Thomas ^[3]

However the 1861 census shows an 8 years old Janet Woods living in Neilston with her parents and siblings this may be the Janet who married Thomas ^[4]
