Biography
Francis Wortley was son of Francis 1st Baronet Wortley and his wife, Grace Brouncker. He married Frances daughter of Sir William Faunt of Freeston, Lincolnshire. With the death of his father on 9 Sep 1652 he became Baronet Wortley.
Francis died on 14 March 1665, leaving no legitimate issue. His illegitimate daughter Anne Newcomen inherited his estate, on the condition that her future husband would take the name Wortley. She married Sidney Montagu, 2nd son of the first Earl of Sandwich, who took the name of Wortley.
