1911 census aged 34, electrical engineer, living at 43 West Bar Street, Banbury, Oxon, with wife, a domestic help and a monthly nurse.

1939 Register Arthur J Wray born 4 March 1877, widower, retirde chartered electrical engineer, living at Plaidy Dromana, Looe, Cornwall, with two daughters.

Appears in the will index for 1946 - Arthur John Wray of Dromana, Plaidy, Looe, Cornwall, died 29 April 1946. Probate Oxford 20 September to Sylvia Jessie Brown (wife of Wilfrid Edward Arnold Brown), Margaret Elizabeh Wray and Isobel Mary Wray, spinsters. Effects £6358 17s 8d.

From The Banbury Echo Thursday 13 June 1907 - Marriage of Mr. A. J. Wray and Miss A L Kimberley A wedding in which more than ordinary interest was manifested was solemnised at Christ Church, South Banbury, yesterday (Wednesday), the contracting parties being Mr. Arthur John Wray, son of the late Mr. Peter Wray, Melbourne, and Miss Ada Louisa Kimberley, daughter of Mr. J. S. Kimberley, Grafton Lodge, Banbury. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Dr. Burton, in the presence of a large congregation. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in satin de chine, with. tulle veil and wreath of orange blossom. She wore a gold and pearl necklet and pendant, and carried a bouquet of choice white flowers, the gifts of the bridegroom. The bridemaids were Misses Mary and Fannie Kimberley, sisters of the bnde, and their dresses were pale pink striped crystalline, with leghorn hats trimmed with black tulle and pink roses, the gold cable bangles they wore being the gifts of the bridegroom, as were also tbeir bouquets of carnations and roses. Mr. Frank Badham was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at St. Leonard’s House, Grimsbury, the residence of the bride’s brother (Mr. A. Kimberley), and subsequently the bridal pair left on tbeir honeymoon, which will be spent in North Wales. The bride’s going away dress was Saxe blue cloth, trimmed with white and silver embroidery, and her hat was of blue chip to match and trimmed with pink roses. The bride and bridegroom were the recipients of numerous presents, including a Sheraton table to the bride from her father's employees, and to the bridegroom from the staff at the Banbury Electric Supply Works (of which Mr. Wray is manager) a smoking cabinet.

From The Banbury Advertiser - Wednesday 8 May 1946 - DEATH OF MR. A. J. WRAY FORMER ELECTRIC SUPPLY COMPANY ENGINEER. We regret to record the death, which occurred at his home, “Dromana”, Plaidy, East Looe, Cornwall, on Monday night last week, of Mr. Arthur John Wray, M.I.E.E. Australian by birth, Mr. Wray came to Banbury when the electricity supply started in 1903. He was managing engineer for about 24 years, except for two years when was engineer at Kidderminster. When the Banbury Company was absorbed by the S.VV.S. Electric Power Company, Mr. Wray, was appointed to an executive position at the chief offices of the Company at Halesowen and went to live in Birmingham. It was when he retired about 1935 that he went to live in Cornwall, where passed away at the age of 69 years. Mr. Wray was a Freemason and during the 1914-18 war served in the Volunteers. He married Miss Ada| Kimberley, daughter of Mr. J. S. Kimberley, and she passed away about 1933. There are three daughters. The funeral took place on Friday, when the interment took place at Banbury Cemetery, following a service in the cemetery chapel. The Rev. Dr. Leslie Ahrendt. rector of Broughton, officiated. Principal mourners , were Mrs. Wilfred Brown. Miss Margaret Wray and Miss Isobel Wray (daughters). Mr. Wilfred Brown (son-in-law). Mrs. A. T. Kimberley, Mrs. Marshall, Miss Kimberley. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Kimberley. Mrs. H. J. Kimberley. Miss E. B. Brown, Miss Margaret Brown. Mr. J. H. Davies (representing the S.W.S. Electric Power Co.). Miss Whitehorn, Mr. F. E. Arnold, Mr. H. A. Beard. Mr. George Hunt (gardener) and others. Funeral arrangements were carried out by Mr. Frank Clutterbuck.
