Biography
Birth
Margaret Wright was baptised at St Mary's, Chatham, Kent on 10th May 1835.[1] She was the daughter of Andrew Wright and Ann (Miller) Wright. Her father stated on the register that he was a Gunner, R.N.
Marriage
George Taylor Mitchell and Margaret Miller Wright were married at St Mary's, Chatham, Kent on 23rd December 1855.[2] They were bachelor and spinster and both living in Brook Chatham at the time. George was 22, an engine fitter and the son of Thomas Mitchell who was a shipwright. Margaret was 21 and the daughter of Andrew Wright who was a gunner in the Royal Navy. They each signed their own name on the register and the witnesses to the marriage were Andrew Wright and Lydia Silvester.[3]
