Biography

Thomas was a Friend (Quaker)
Thomas Wright was the second son (second child) of William wright and Frances Barringer. He was born in about 1710 in Sutton, Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire, England.

Thomas' father and older brother William died within a few weeks of each other in 1717; his father was intestate and although Thomas was only eight years old he inherited all of his father's property (eight acres of arable, ten acres of fen, the farm stock and almost all of the contents of the house); his mother was appointed his guardian.

Thomas married Susanna Barr when he was twenty three; she was ten years his senior. They had four children, William (d young?), Thomas, Susanna (d young) and Susanna.

Thomas died on 13th February 1766.
