Biography

Steven T. Wright, 63, of Paris went to heaven peacefully on March 7, 2014 with his loving family by his side following a hard fight with lung cancer. He was born on September 28, 1950 in Grant, Michigan, the son of Harvey and Helen (Brustad) Wright.

He graduated from Reed City High School in 1968. Steven went to work right out of school at Benedict Manufacturing. He left to serve 4 ½ years in the United States Navy as a Radio Operator. While in the service, he married the love of his life, Debra Cady. Following service he returned to work at Benedict's (now-Bentek) where he loved his work for 45 years. Steven was a member of Big Rapids Eagles Aerie 2535, having served as President for four years.

Steven enjoyed playing pool, bowling, softball and especially golf. Golfing with his family and special league friends was a favorite pastime.

He is survived by Debra Cady, his wife of 42 years, one son, Russell (Tonya) Wright of Paris, one daughter, Sherry M. Wright of Chicago, two grandsons; Collin and Dalton Wright, three brothers, Harry (Mary) Wright of Hersey, Mark (Connie) Wright of Reed City, Randy (Diane) Wright of Pryor, OK, two sisters; Pat Sundquist of Reed City, Laura (Ellis) Sundquist of Paris, one sister-in-law, Virginia Wright, plus many uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews.

Steven was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Harold Wright and a very special granddaughter, Meranda L. Wright.
