Biography

Roll of Honor
Rifleman Ernest Wright was killed in the field in France during World War I.

Ernest was born in 1887. He was the son of John Wright and Sarah Buckett.

In 1912 he married Gladys Henrietta Mansfield. They had two children Ella and Gladys. [1]

He enlisted for the First World War in 1915, and embarked in February 1916 for Suez, before transferring to the Western Front. He was killed in action on 25 November 1916 in the field in France. [1]

There is a gravestone in the Rue-David Military Cemetery in Fleurbaix, Pas de Calais. [2] [3]
