Biography

1878 Birth

Richard James Wynne, son of Thomas Joseph Wynne and Margaret Fox Wynne, was born at Castlebar, Mayo, Ireland on the 27th[sic] of March, 1878 and baptised on the 31st March, 1878.^[1] Another record puts his date of birth as 13th March and this matches his birth certificate details.^[2]

1901 Residence

On the night of the 1901 Census of Ireland Richard was recorded as living at house 20 in Market Street, Castlebar along with his mother, brother Charles and sisters Martha and Teresa^[3]

1911 Residence

On the night of the 1911 Census of Ireland Richard was recorded as living at house 6 in Gurteendrunagh (Market Street), Castlebar along with his wife Elizabeth, son Arthur and a female relative Gertrude Creagh.^[4]

1965 Death

Richard died on the 14th March, 1965 as was laid to rest in Castlebar Old cemetery, Castlebar, County Mayo, Ireland.^[5]
