Biography

Elizabeth Vera Young, the daughter of George Young (1867-1947) and Mary Jane (Cuff) Young (1873-1935), was born on Dec. 11, 1899 in Portlock,^[1][2] Johnson Township, Algoma District, Ontario.^[3] On Feb. 11, 1921, she married Charles R. Mckechnie in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. (He had been working as an electrician, she as a saleslady.)^[1] They were divorced only five years later, in 1926.^[2] On Feb. 17, 1934, she married railway clerk Rene Angell in Adams, Indiana (although both were resident in Michigan at the time).^[2] Twenty years later in 1954, they were still together, living in San Diego, California.^[4]
