Frank (23) married Elsie Gladys Buckingham (28) (born in 1897 in Brunswick, Victoria; daughter of George Emberson Buckingham and Mary Bridgit (Robinson) Buckingham) in 1926 in Victoria.^[2]

On the 2nd March 1942, Frank enlisted in the Australian Army, (VX77078 - Rank: Private Group II Carpenter, Unit Exp. & Design Directorate) transferred to the Royal Australian Navy on the 28th July 1943 where he was assigned to the HMAS Platypus (PM6802 - Rank Joiner 4th Class) he was stationed in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. ^{[3] [4] [5] [6]}

Frank died on 26 Mar 1944, as a result of a Motor Accident, in Cairns, Queensland, Australia, aged 41. He was buried in Cairns Cemetery, Cairns, Cairns Region, Queensland.^[7]
