Biography
Anthony Zakrajshek was born Oct. 10, 1919, in Eveleth to Frank Sr. and Matilda (Triller) Zakrajshek. He married Anna Marie Rajkowski April 26, 1951, in Rice. He was in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He worked as an electrician for St. Regis Corporation for 45 years. He retired in 1982. He was a member of the Sartell City Countil form 1966 to 1973 and from 1980 to 1987. He was Sartell mayor from 1973 to 1978. He was leader of the Sartell American Legion Lester McNeal Post 277. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Bishop Trobec Council 5276. He was a member and trustee of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. He was a former volunteer firefighter and fire chief of Sartell Fire Department. [1] He is buried in Sartell, Minnesota. [2]

Tulips, carnations and snapdragons banked the altar of the St. Mary's church in Rice on April 26 when Miss Anna Marie Rajkowski [became] the bride of Anthony Zakrajshek. Rev. Victor Siegler officiated at the nuptial mass at 9 a.m. on the 30th wedding anniversary of the bride's parents.
