Pvt Thomas Snell died in France as the result of an "accident" on 31 Jan 1919, and the family never found out more. Is there a way to access records that would provide the details of the accident?

The service record in Family Search says he was accidentally killed by gunshot wounds

Thank you! I checked Fold3 but didn't even think to check FamilySearch. So many resources, it gets a bit confusing sometimes.
