Thank you. I've had a hard time with the Benbrook line. I found the marriage record for James Benbrook and Elizabeth Vivion in 1813 in Logan County, Kentucky. I also found the marriage record for James Benbrook and Elizabeth Harris Goheen in 1816 in Logan County, Kentucky. I haven't been able to find Elizabeth Vivion's family. However, there is a daughter that poses an interesting problem. I found a record that showed Elizabeth Vivion Benbrook was born 20 Dec 1815 with Elizabeth Vivion as her mother. Written across it was "mother died in 1816". Since James married Elizabeth Harris Goheen in Feb 1816, it stand to reason that Elizabeth Vivion died in January (probably from childbirth complications) and James married the first girl he could find.
Elizabeth Harris Goheen raised Elizabeth Vivion Benbrook as her own, which was probably a good thing because she had four children, 3 of whom died young and the fourth I haven't found a death record for. James Benbrook and Elizabeth Harris Goheen parted company (I haven't found a divorce record) and he married someone else. The Elizabeths took up with the McIntosh family with Elizabeth Vivion Benbrook marrying David McIntosh (1815-1845) and Elizabeth Harris Goheen marrying David's uncle James McIntosh.
