Advice before merging these pre-1700 Bush profiles?

Question

Bush-1287 is a duplicate of Bush-1785 (side-by-side comparison) so they should be merged.

However, Bush-1287 needs to be merged into Bush-1785, because it is Project Protected. But the system does not allow it. What can be done, so these two profiles can be merged?

The profile Bush-1785 is not currently attached to a Project. There are quite a few profiles on WikiTree that were given the PPP protection without a specific project involved. These are being phased out.

In this case, the most relevant project is England. The England Project can lift the PPP to allow the merge and may or may not replace it if they consider it necessary.

Since this profile represents the parent of PGM profiles, on behalf of the PGM project, I will unlock it. Typically, we frequently have parents of PGM profiles protected as PGM Adjuncts, if there is uncertainty about the PGM's parentage.
