Make existing picture a profile picture?

I can't see how to do it. There are 8 people in this photo. I want to make it a profile picture for those that don't have an individual picture.

Right now the image is attached to only two profiles.  On the image's own page, scroll down to where it says "People & Things in the Image:" and right below that are those already attached.  Right below THAT you should see "Add person or free-space profile:" with a blank field next to it.  Paste (or type, but copying and pasting is safer) the profile ID#s of the folk you want to attach to the image, then save.

On the right of the image you should see: "Set as Primary Photo" with names beneath.  Next to the names are "radio buttons".  Click next to the names where you want the profile to have the image as Primary.

Click on "Add/Edit" where the people in the picture are listed, add the additional people, and save.  Once they are added  you will see a list of all the names over to the right with the choice to "Add as primary photo."  Click the people that you want it to be the profile photo for and save again.

That can be done on Ancestry, but not WikiTree as far as I know.  You would have to adjust the photo using your own software, cropping the photo for each person.

Alternatively, if you've done that on Ancestry, you might be able to take a screen print of each individual portrait, but I doubt the final resolution would be satisfactory.

Edit:  I assumed you wanted an individual profile portrait for each person.  If not, just follow the instructions others have provided on this thread.

One can crop images reasonably well using a basic editor such as MSPaint.  They may not be perfect crops, but it would make an individual image, rather than a group one.
This was going to be my next question. Thank you so much!
You can see where I did some very simple crops from a group photo to add an individual's photo to a profile here:

Used as a close-up, it makes the photo a little less crisp but it works very well for the size of the WikiTree profile.
Yes, nice job.
