I am trying to find out if Tante (Aunt) Louise whom I met as a child is my father's aunt Aloise.

When I was age 5-13 we used to visit relatives in Queens, NY.  There was a Tante Louise (probably in her 60's, maybe early 70's) living with a couple in their 40's or 50's, Felix Goldstein and his wife Minidl Goldstein.

I have researched my father's ancestors.  My father, Franz Mayer was born in Vienna.  His father, Ludwig, had a sister, Alouise Mayer born in May of 1886 in Cesky Rudolec, South Bohemia, Czech Republic.  I have no more information on Alouise Mayer, but suspect she might be the Tante Louise I met in the late circa 1950.

Maybe she married a Goldstein and Felix was her son, or maybe she was the mother of Minidl.  I have not been able to find records on the Goldstein's.  The family would have been Jewish.

I have researched these people on a number of ancestry sites and was only able to find Czech census records including Ludwig and his sisters with the help of a Czech consultant.

Can anyone advise how to research these three people further?

Thanks,

Bob
