The New England Vampire Panic?

I know that it's a little early for Halloween, but I stumbled across stories on the New England Vampire Panic, which occurred in the early 19th Century.  Apparently, the spread of tuberculosis led some rural New Englanders to believe that vampires were stalking their families, which lead to them taking some extreme actions to prevent the stalking.  https://historyofyesterday.com/new-englands-vampire-panic-7bea4aff9180

Of the two most notorious cases, Mercy Brown is already on the tree and I added Frederick Ransom.

I normally don't spend much time on vampires, but I find it fascinating that this type of thing was going on in New England at that time.  It's not how we picture New England.

Roger, I wonder if there’s a category for these profiles. I can’t seem to find one. If you create a bunch, it might be worth having a cat for it then.
