Is there any evidence for the parents of Richard Hildreth? His biography says there is no documented evidence of his origins, but there are parents attached. Should those parents be removed?

Yes, with a disputed origins section added. Thanks!

Hi Kay, Before I had done much research, I assumed that Richard Sr. was the father of Richard (Hildreth-88). After much more research, I have found no evidence for his parents.  He was apparently born about 1605, based on his age of 88 at time of death in 1693, but there is no evidence of his birth or origins.  You can find an extensive Hildreth bibliography as part of the Hildreth Name Study at http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Hidreth_Research_Resources.  No modern research proposes parents for Hildreth-88.

Also, although most Hildreth researchers believe that there is some sort of connection between Richard in Massachusetts and Thomas in Suffolk County NY, no one believes that they were brothers, so they are not connected here.

I believe Richard Hildreth-88 should be disconnected from any parents, with a note in his bio.

Hi Audette, Thanks for your answer. We've seen that information before but haven't been able to find any documented sources for it. What is your source for that information?
