The Crawford Name Study has collected tables of all Crawford (and name variant) records in Canada and Ireland census records at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Crawford_Name_Study_Census_Records

Ongoing work is taking place to link these records to existing profiles and/or create new profiles so that all early Crawfords can be easily located on WikiTree.

If you can help in the linking of records or are looking for more information on your Crawford relatives, you are invited to please take a look!

Work will continue to collect the Crawfords in the United States and Scotland in the coming year. Feel free to post questions or comments here or on the pages if you have suggestions on how to make this information more accessible.

There was a Crawford family living on a farm about one mile east and one mile south of the town of Mannville, Alberta during at least the 1950's to 1970's. I went to school with their children.

It's possible. To be honest, I don't know much about that side of my family off hand. I know I have some records SOMEWHERE that have been passed down, and plan to look for them when I have some time next week.

I'm also still learning to navigate this site a bit, so I may be a little slow. smiley

Welcome to the site Lizzie, and feel free to ask questions here on G2G if you need help! Also, Laura and Jenny from the Greeters have left messages on your profile, I'm sure either one of them would be happy to help you with any questions you may have!

I will be working on loading up the United States Census records later this year, but may not go much beyond 1850, as that is when individuals began to be reported and the numbers balloon at that point. Perhaps Horace's grand-parents could be found in earlier census records in Indiana or other eastern locations in the US. If they immigrated from Canada or Ireland, then they may be there already.

Thank you! smiley Oh my goodness! I saw those, but I just realized I could actually TALK to them, so to speak! I'm just going to blame college brain at this point. blush

That's amazing! I know i have some of his records in my home, but I have a lot of EVERYONE'S records in my home, which is kind of a problem. I'll definitely be sharing what I find as I come across them.
