I did some biography improvement for the 1776 project on Joseph Alsop's profile. It would be great if someone could take a look at it and let me know if there is anything else that can be done.

Please add the source of the pension documents. For instance ...Fold-3? or are these from familysearch?
Yes. They are from fold3. I had some trouble setting up a link to the individual pages, so I downloaded just a few from the much larger file. I believe that I have it corrected now. Thank you.

This profile is looking good, Beth. Taking a look at the regiments in which he served: (1) Flying Camp and (2) 7th Regiment. 1776 Project has recently added more regiment categories, allowing us to include this info in the sticker and categorize extra regiments. So the sticker could include "... rank= Private | unit= Flying Camp, Maryland Militia, American Revolution". A category could be added for "7th Maryland Regiment (1776), Continental Army, American Revolution".

Thanks, Betty. I have added the sticker.

Looks pretty good, except the citations somehow got mixed up.  When I clicked on the 2 to go to the marriage, it should have been 3.

The text of the marriage "in German" is actually half German and half English- "witnesses... and his wife...."

I would suggest this is a later transcription error.

If you are questioning why he was married in German, I suggest putting a research note with the question for further exploration.  I suppose one had to accept the church and pastor practices.

For sources #5 and #6, it would be great if there were a link to the source that can be inspected by anyone. That's generally standard practice when a source is available.

Also, now that I think about it, #5 and #6 are essentially the same source. If it needs to be referenced twice then take a look at how to do this in the same profile:

Hi Eric

I tried to link the sources that I got on the 20 page widow's pension file on fold3. It didn't work very well. I ended up uploading the selected pages. These pages might also be on ancestry.com. I will check. That widow's pension file had enough information to add him a family. When I first started on his profile, he was a lonely profile with no family attached. I realize that I used the same source several times and will see if I can fix it up.
Ah, my apologies, I didn't notice that you uploaded them. Well then you could just add a link to the photos on WikiTree.
