Is Onondaga the same tribe as Onontagué? [closed]

I have a lady for whom I recently created a profile who is said to be Onontagué.  Also stated as being Iroquois on other records.  There exists a category for Onondaga under Native Americans and First People's projects.  Is this a case of variations in the way they get recorded, depending on the language of the writer?

I think one is English, the other is an alternative spelling in French. Compare English Wikipedia and French Wikipedia.

Yes. The Onondaga were one of five tribes that made up the Iroquois Confederacy. The other tribes were Mohawk, Seneca, Oneida, and Cayuga.
