need help with dna confirmation 3rd cousin

my confirmation is easy 3rd cousin but have forgotten something as it is not showing the dna symbol on my relative.

Gibson-20082 and Stewart-39960 are confirmed by my Greatgrandmother Gibson-20081 and her brother Gibson-20559

I put the dna statement on Jackson-50922 who is the father of my still living 3rd cousin not on Facebook. and on my Great Grandmother Gibson-20081

If someone could advise what I need to complete the process, would be grateful!

Thank you and best regards,

Sherry

It looks like you didn't set the "confirmed with DNA" indicators on these profiles.

I updated the indicators for Jackson-50922, Gibson-20081, and Gibson-20559.

I find using Greg Clarke's DNA confirmation app the easiest way to make the DNA confirmation statements. https://apps.wikitree.com/apps/clarke11007/DNAconf.php

It leads you step by step.

The DNA symbol appears when you go into Edit mode, then under Family Relationships select either “Father confirmed by DNA” or “Mother confirmed by DNA”.

But first, there is a standard DNA confirmation statement format that should be followed. I recommend using the app that Nancy mentioned, so you include all the necessary details in your statement.

Hope that helps!

The DNA confirmation should read something like this:
* Paternal relationship is confirmed by an AncestryDNA test match between Chris Whitten and his second cousin. Their most-recent common ancestors are their great grandparents, Hollis Bartlett Sr. and May Storrs. Predicted relationship from AncestryDNA: 2nd Cousins, based on sharing 150.3 cM across 9 segments; Confidence: Extremely High.
