New member introducing myself

I am a 5th generation descendant of a once enslaved woman named Sarah Roach (born about 1820) in Rockingham County, NC.  Sarah was owned by a tobacco planter named Thomas Roach of Wentworth in Rockingham County and lived on a plantation later named Locust Grove.  Thomas was the son of a James Roach (+/- 1753 to 1841) who lived in Rockingham and Guilford counties and fought in the Revolutionary War. James and Thomas Roach trace their lineage back to a Littleberry Roach who emigrated from Italy to St. Peter's Parish in New Kent County, VA in the mid to late 1600's.

I am possibly connected to a Mary Ann Quivers Roach who may have been a free person of color in Charles County, VA in the 1600's and who is reported to have borne children with a John Rock or Roach who is also descended from Littleberry Roach.

Freedman's Bureau records show that Sarah had a son named Nelson Roach who successfully petitioned the Freedman's Bureau to cancel the indentures of two of his nieces that were being held by Thomas Roach against Nelson and his mother Sarah's wishes.  Nelson married a woman named Ann Harris on Christmas Day in 1865.

I am interested in any information involving these people and appreciate any assistance provided.
