I'm searching for evidence that Charles B Harrington is the son of William Harrington and Sarah Baker.

It seems to be common knowledge, as they are connected on Ancestry, FamilySearch, and here on WikiTree, but I haven't found any evidence, nor seen any sources listed to prove the connection.

I've found evidence of William and Sarah's children in the Rhode Island Vital Records:

  • William - 15 Mar 1772, Richmond, Washington, RI
  • Benjamin - 4 Oct 1773, Richmond, Washington, RI
  • John - 19 Aug 1775, Richmond, Washington, RI
  • Ezekiel - 23 Jul 1777, Richmond, Washington, RI
  • Stephen - 18 May, 1779, Richmond, Washington, RI
  • Mary 12 - Mar 1781, Richmond, Washington, RI
  • Anna - 27 Feb 1783, Richmond, Washington, RI

But not a son Charles, who is listed in the 1855 NYS Census as being born in Rhode Island around 1785.

I've tried to find connections in Harrington, Chapman, and Baker family histories, among others, but to no avail. I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

Any chance someone could point me to a source to prove the connection?

Thanks!

Tim
