My name is Theodore (Ted Lester). Dad's (Mario Ignatius Lester) side of family from Key West, FL and Bahamas via his father and dads mothers (Herminia Recio) side is also Key West and Cuba as far as I know (looking at poor photo copies of cousins research-hand written family tree)-hope to improve on.
My Mom's (Theodore Roosevelt Pitts) dads family is Pitts and came to Florida via Pittsville, WI and earlier through New England area (Taunton, Plymouth Colony)-Samuel Pitts and he traces back to Peter Pitts-1625 England (dead end) which I learned from another researcher(forwarded information to me) on WikiTree who contacted me about Pitts relatives for information several years ago. Her mother Sarah Marian Pitts (Albury); father Roberts Albury from Harbor Island, Bahamas (born in England) and mother Minnie Scott Albury (from Florida)- approx. 13 plus relatives killed in 1935 hurricane in central Florida Keys.
My wife's dad John George Flynn Sr. is from Connecticut area; his parents directly from Ireland and her mom Ida is from Panama with a last name of Pina (her mom was very secretive about family and ran away from home/Panama to New York). Will try to research both of these in more detail after learning more about the Lester's/Recio's and Pitts/Albury back to England/Scotland/Cuba, other if able for all.
