Can someone help connect me to Gilliland researchers?

Gilliland DNA project established 2 unrelated groups.  In conjunction with this project is an excellent family tree for the Gilliland surname Gilliland Genealogy - A One Name Study - Main Page (rootsweb.com)

William Armstrong b:1753  d:1835 Caldwell KY, d Mary married William Gilliland (grp 1) and d Martha married Thomas Gilliland (grp 2).  The same William Armstrong who bought land from Robert Gilliland in Greenville SC 1786 and who was resident in Lincoln county NC 1760s-1780s.

Samuel (from Livingston probate records) was his brother
(not father as suggested in the Gilliland tree).  His father was William, and was also resident in Fagg's Manor PA and probably born there in the 1720s-30s.  That William's father was William as well Armstrong-25750 (William Armstrong - WikiTree Profile).  He was father-in-law to the John Thompson who's will was witnessed by James Gilliland in 1749, and executor of that will. (Londonderry PA)

Also, the Gillilands were probably intermarrying with two unrelated Brasher/Brazier families. Specifically, Robert Samuel Brashear is in a different haplogroup than the Brazier/Brasher families that various Armstrongs married in both Greenville SC and Caldwell/Christian KY.  He seems to have overlapped time and space in Greenville with both the Armstrongs and Kentucky Braziers, but it is likely a coincidence.

Have knowledge/records on how these Armstrong and Brasher lines connect.  Perhaps someone in the community could help connect this information to the appropriate people for possible collaboration?

Thanks for the link. This page looks to have subcategories with connections to various Gilliland researchers on Wikitree.  I'm not to sure how to reach anyone who has knowledge about this very specific portion of the enormous Gilliland tree associated with the DNA project.  I am hoping eventually someone with knowledge of this portion of the tree will someday read this.  It looks to me to be a very interesting area of research for anyone interested in the Gilliland, Brasher/Brazier, or Armstrong families associated.  Of course the focus is quite granular, so the likely audience quite small.  On a larger scale, it is an interesting research area as it appears to be a chance to use DNA to help solve confusing situations that arise when un-related families with the same surnames intermingle.
