I am looking for info on William S. Armstrong b. 1799

Listed in Ancestry as:   

• William S Armstrong 1799-1894
  father-in-law of 2nd great-grandfather
• Martha Armstrong 1838-1906
  Daughter of William S Armstrong
• Erastus Stanton 1836-1912
  Husband of Martha Armstrong

He would actually be the father of Martha so my 3rd great grandfather.  He was born in Bowling Green Kentucky 1799 and died in Kansas where my Great Great grandparents resided.  I cannot find any information on his birth however some descendants have it listed as Pleasant  (b 1775) and Susannah (b. 1774)  Armstrong  yet I can't find any record of them whatsoever.  I have reviewed some history of Armstrongs in Kentucky and Tennessee and find no mention of Pleasant and some references to a Susannah but linked to other Armstrongs.   There is no mention of William Armstrong's parents in his obituary.    #Kansas #kentucky
