Wrong mother

Hi, I think you have the wrong dob and parents for Margaret NEISH. I think she is Margaret NISH/NEISH (1804-1873) parents: William NISH = Margaret BRIDIE. The clue is in the middle name of her first child. The one you have married to MENZIES exists but never married and died 1857.

Hi John - I have placed a === Disputed Origins === section on Margaret's profile.  Clearly William Neish/Nish is her father and the source quoted for her birth; National Records of Scotland. Old Parish Records. Dundee Parish. OPR:282/90 259 - given for her birth shows an Abigail Bisset as her mother.  A similar birth record source for the mother you are propossing should be found and examined before any change is considered.  By the 1841 Scotland Census records included, her father William was clearly living with Margaret and James in 1841.
