100.000+ contributions!

Question

Toot toot! (My own horn) I recently passed 100.000 contributions and I’m pretty content with myself. 

It all started in 2012 when I imported my gedcoms. Amounted to around 7000 contributions. So I feel like I have come a long way. I took a break and only showed up for the thons the last couple of years but thanks to the last one, I got close and kept going at it and did eventually make it to 100 k. 

It’s all just good fun. Thanks for the awesome site.

Welcome to the pilot's lounge Antonia !! Congratulations on reaching this milestone. Hopefully you have much longer to go on the family history journey and continue to help the big tree to grow.

Life might be busy right now, but I always keep an eye out for fun projects on Wikitree and try to steal some time away from the kids for thons and such. 

I am very curious to see how Wikitree will develop the next 11 years. I hope an update to the look of the pages will come along eventually seeing as it already was a bit dated when I first started. Would love to see a phone/tablet app so you can more easily see what you're doing on the pages on a small screen. 

But most of all I have loved the Wikitree BEE improvements that made working on the trees so much more smoother, shout out to Ian for that one. 

Upwards and onwards, and sideways and around we go.

It is crazy to think about all the thank yous, I think that feature is kind special to WT, and is such a nice feature to have.

Wow when you put it like that I do not feel like a spring flower anymore! 

Life changes a lot in a decade, my three young kids keeps me busy these days I have not had the same sort of time as I did in the beginning. That is probably why I feel so happy to have reached this particular milestone, because I did think for a moment it would never happen!
