German Research Assistance for Andreas Bauer, Spöck, Baden c 1680 - c 1735

I'm wondering if someone from the Germany Project might offer some assistance in locating additional records for Andreas Bauer. What I have found is limited, some of them reference records at FamilySearch but I have not found them at FamilySearch (probably an issue with my search parameters). I'm wondering if additional records might be located behind German record paywalls. What appears to be considerable misinformation on this man is commonly found at Ancestry, Geni, etc.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance.

Edit: please feel free to change the place names on the profile to those appropriate for the period.

Hey, I had a look at it and transcribed the two marriage records for his two known sons. There are some clues in it and I wrote some notes, but since it is hard to read I was not able to identify any clear location. Maybe he lived near Marbach in Württemberg, but this would be like 70 km away.

I also attached copies of the records on his profile, so maybe someone else can have a look at it and identify the locations.

Next step might be to have a closer look at the godparents of all the children of his two sons and see if some of them came from a place like Marbach. Often godparents were close relatives.

That is the fastest and most productive response to a genealogical post I have ever seen. The new profiles are especially useful in making connection between many family members.

Many thanks, again, Danny for this extremely helpful work. yessmiley

I just added a record from Marbach am Neckar.  The original is not great and the scan is not great either.
Nice find, lets hope it is the right one. I might look deeper into this tomorrow. Would be nice if we could find the brother Johann Thomas as well. And if Anreas Bauer died there b4 1730, this should prove it.
