Who is the father of John R Burnett

Question

John was born October 7 1839 and died January 7 1870 he died in a train accident working as a brake man he was married to Marie J Stickler Traver They had 2 children Willam and Edward R Burnett after his death his family move in with Marie's father John H Stickler until Maria married  Theodore Traver I 'm looking for the father of John I know my family lived a long time in The Hudson Valley region of New York but not sure if that is where his dad is from
