I'm in the process of elimination and I was mostly wondering if someone can help me read what it says after Margareta Ersdotter "Smi?h & Sa?" in VII Ore kyrkoarkiv, Dalarnas län, Husförhörslängder, SE/ULA/12224/A I/1 (1690-1709), bildid: C0013494_00021.

Someone put together an extract of the hfl in Ore which has been very helpful. I'm thinking she might be the Margareta Ersdotter on page 17 (other usefule website with her potential mother) or page 26. She appears as married on page 23.

"Were Margareta Ersdotter's parents Måg Erik Jönsson and Karin Larsdotter?"
Yes I think it is quite clear.
"VII
Lars Olofson
Sÿstren Anna
Måg. Erik Jönsson
d.h. Karin Larsdotter

s. Olof Larsson
dott Margeta Ersd"

The text after Margareta's name is in Latin:
"Admissi ad Sacram Coenam"  (Edit: Admissa, not Admissi) =
”tillåten till den heliga måltiden” =
"allowed to take part in communion"

Margareta's family is definitely this family on page 17:
"Lars Olofsson 7
sy Anna 7
Måg Erik Jönsson 7
dh Karin Larsdotter 7
d Margareta Eriksdotter 7"

NOT this family on page 26:
Bärs Erik Larssons änka h Brita 32
måg Hans Hansson, ant -1690 32
dh Karin, ant -1690 32
d Margareta Eriksdotter 32
d Kerstin Eriksdotter, ant -1697 32

These people fit well as her mother, father and mother's father!

"Måg/Mågen" is not a name. It means "daughter's husband". Should not be part of his name:

Ersson and Ersdotter are short for Eriksson and Eriksdotter. They should be entered as Eriksson and Eriksdotter to help searching and matching.

I agree that the Latin probably doesn't help with the identification of Margareta; I read it as something like admissa ad sacram. coenam. which is to say she had been admitted to partake of the Holy Supper. So either it does not refer to Margareta or the it has been added to the page long after the years written at the top.

Your advice that Ersson and Ersdotter should be entered as Eriksson and Eriksdotter makes perfect sense according to the Swedish practice to standardize names in genealogy. This is contrary to the WikiTree policies to use the spelling from the sources, which admittedly does not make all that much sense for Swedish profiles. The problem is that people including myself have been using "spelling as from sources" here for years and years and years.

Edit: I see that you went over the Latin again and came to roughly the same conclusion.

Latin. Yes, sorry, I thought I could get away with the latin edit before anyone answered my first version but you beat me to it! :P
"admissa" is probably correct, not "admissi". Latin grammar is not my forte.

"use spelling as from the sources" makes no sense.
It is not in line with recommendations from the best genealogists in Sweden.
It is a policy the Nordic project can and must change.

All the names already entered can be batch replaced by scripts easily.
I will tell people to spell out abbreviated names and standardize names until I die. :D

I think all Swedish policies should be based on
Författarinstruktionen för Svensk Genealogisk Tidskrift (Genealogska föreningen)

You should really take that policy change up as a separate discusson, not linked to a special case. Perhaps take it up with Project Leader Missy Berryann first, to see how things should be done in WikiTree.
Thank you D Bruno and Eva. I agree it makes sense to use a standard way for names, I've been used to entering what appears in most sources. It doesn't help that the wiki id is tied to the LNAB.
Thanks Eva. You are right this is not the time and place. I appreciate the discussions, your advice, your long experience. Keep it coming! :D
