Sources for John E Bolling + discrepancies

Is John E Bolling's death sourced?

The entry shows a death date of 1827 (also shown on the FindAGrave memorial in the source list) but it does not appear accurate and is contradicted within the biography on the entry for John E Bolling.

John Bolling appears on the 1830 & 1840 censuses of Perry Co., KY and is taxed within Perry Co., KY for land along the Middle Fork in both Perry & Clay counties from 1821 through to 1844.

Starting in 1846, his (apparent) widow, Susan (Sizemore) Bolling is taxed on Clay Co., KY tax lists for land on the Middle Fork in Perry county.

The biography for John E Bolling states that his wife, Susan, passed in 1847 and that he is alleged to have remarried after her decease.  Susan's entry shows that she passed in 1862 and thus, outlived him.  Plus the tax lists & censuses showing Susan to have outlived him & to be (seemingly) taxed for his land.

And, while we're at it, what source shows John Bolling to have a middle initial of "E" - I have, thus far, only found him enumerated as John.

Has the entry here been assessed for accuracy?

I have struggled with this couple as well.

According to DNA my Husband is related to at least three other DNA testers.

John Elijah Bolling and Susan Sizemore are connected, and most probably ancestors.  (connections not found).

However my dates differ  John 1777-1827 and Susan 1784-1862 and Married 12800 in Lee, Virginia, US???

And quite a few more John Bollings and Susan Sizemore's within these family lines.

FamilySearch is just a confusing as other online trees.

I am not familiar with USA research so I have no clue where to find information other than the major sites (Ancestry, FamilySearch, MyHeritage, FindMyPast)

Thank you.

I've been trying to wrap my head around him - some of his children were previously attached to another couple I've been researching and am trying to detangle them.

I went ahead and re-wrote the biography section for him and moved the paragraphs from the previously written biography (which didn't contain any source citations or links to documents) to various sub-headings of a new Research Notes heading.

Hopefully we can get someone with a little more experience with research on him + experience with his researchers to figure out what sources were originally being cited to show the information that does show on his entry.

Sean
