Need info on ancestors of Bessie Elizabeth Schenck 1888-1971 Beaver Creek, MN

Hey there!  I need help clarifying who my great grandmother's ancestors were.  So far I have found on ancestry.com that her father was William H Schenck born 1851 in Ohio, and her mom was Elizabeth (maiden name unknown) born 1853 in Illinois, but I don't know much more about them than that (I only know that much due to census data).  I had more ancestors of hers, but a few people on ancestry.com told me I was wrong so I have since deleted them.  I guess I'm wondering if anyone has any leads on who her grandparents could be?
