Stones of Wiltshire and Hertfordshire.

Question

I am trying to trace the parents of Jonathan Stone born Rickmansworth Hertfordshire England in 1767.

Some tenuous threads link to Joseph Stone born 1745 (10 June) in Winterslow Wiltshire England.

Jonathan Stone married Hannah Gladman in 1790.

Any help will be appreciated.

A number of trees on Ancestry have a Jonathan Stone born 1767 Hertfordshire, with a father Joseph from Wiltshire but none cite a source for either Jonathan's birth or father Joseph.

All parish records are silent on a Hertfordshire connection, the nearest being this; Jonathan Stone christened 2 October 1868, Cripplegate, St. Giles London, son of Samuel Stone & Elizabeth.(https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:JQLN-XVC).
