There is a multi-generational movement of Crandalls from Little Nine Partners, Dutchess, New York.  I have yet to find the exact year of migration.  Laban Crandall (b.1763) along with at least one of his sons (Ezra Crandall b 1787) moved to Brookfield, Madison, New York at sometime prior to 1810.  I found E Crandall in the 1810 Census.  I have not traced all of Laban's children or confirmed his parents name yet.

There seems to be a second line of Crandalls (Joseph Crandall b 1777) moving from Connecticut or Vermont to Norwich, Chenango, New York at the same time period.

Also, on the NYGenWeb site for Brookfield, Madison, New York.  There are two early Barber settlers listed.  Clark Barber in 1799 and Daniel Barber in 1800. https://sites.rootsweb.com/~nymadiso/brk1784h.htm

I hope this helps and would love to know if you connect to Laban.  I have just begun researching the Crandalls in Chenango Valley.
