Hi.  Does anybody have information for John Christo Bennett born 1/10/1908 and baptized 17/1/1909 in Rosettenville, Transvaa, South Africa.  This is one of my grandmother's siblings. Thanks Crystal

Hi Thanks for the feedback but that is not the same person.  The person I am looking for John Christo Bennett born in South Africa and most likely died in South Africa.

Just to add to my original request I have found his baptism and therefore also know who his parents are:- Henry Frederick Thomas Bennett and Johanna Helena Fick but for interest sake would like to know if he was married, had children etc.  His one brother Hugo Edward Bennett only lived for about 1month

Although I have looked up people who live in South Africa many times at familysearch.org there has been very little success. There may be another resource for genealogy information about those who lived in South Africa, but I have not found it. 

Once again, based on your most recent request, I tried to find John Christo Bennett born 1/10/1908 and baptized 17/1/1909, in South Africa. The result was, as has been the case many other times, that the name was not at familysearch.org . 

Maybe someone else knows a resource that has family history info for South Africa. If so, I hope they will step forward.

I found him in familysearch.org 'South Africa, Church of the Parish Registers, 1801 -2004 > South Africa > Transvaal > Johannesburg, Rosettenville, St Mary > Baptisms 1904 - 1922'  Image 41 of 201.  I know many times I do a general search for things and it shows no results.
