We encourage members to start with a small GEDCOM, maybe 25-50 individuals, so you can get a feel for the site, for the process, for the time involved and make sure you really want to participate before you import more.

Thank you for the answer but I had already read further and realized it's much harder and more labor intensive in the long run if you do.
