You are so right, Anne - I adopted the first one, as you well know, from a question you posted in G2G asking for volunteers to work on unsourced profiles. I picked one more or less at random from the Unsourced category. Then I adopted his parents, siblings, spouse, and children and continued on my merry way, expanding until I had over 1200, all from the same abandoned gedcom.
'Salright, though ... I'm not in it for badges! The last thing I need right now is to adopt one from the Orphaned list just to get a badge. I'd probably end up adopting another thousand or so from there and I have more work cut out for myself here than I can handle already
