My curiousity was at first was he a slave, I kinda wondered how the gentleman got there. I guess he got on at new york and didn't stop. He must of loved fixing ships being the lead or head Ulility man for years. I guess he chose it but what mad him choose that life. Interesting research. Some one else asked for research, this is what I found, and it wasn't what they were looking for, so passions in to history can side track you.
