Cant find Margaret Schmidt who was married to Emery/Emory Risley

Question

I am trying to find geneaolgy information about Margaret Schmidt who married Emory/Emery Risley.  The census says her and Emery were both born in Arkansas around 1842-1847.  They lived in Indiana for a brief period where Emery's family was originally from (Matthew and Matilda Risley) and then moved to Salem Perry County Missouri.  Some of their children were born in Indiana and my great, grandmother Flora Ann Risley was born in Illinois or Salem Perry County Missouri.  I have been able to find information for the Risley family taking them all the way back to Oxon Lancaster England, but I can't find out where my great, great grandmother Margaret Schmidt came from or who her parents were.

in Illinois.

Yes Wayne I have been able to find Margaret in the censuses while she was married to Emory but some censuses say she was born in Illinois and others in Arkansas, I am leaning towards Arkansas because that is where Emory was born, but I can't find any info on her or her parents before she was married per my question above.  I have already checked with all historical societies etc. in Illinois, Arkansas and Perry County MO.  But thanks anyway for your response!

I'm new to this but I'm pretty sure I'm a great, great grandchild to Emory and Matilda Risley. Heard stories of my Dads Grandfather working for the rsilroad in Winnebago County, Rockford Il. Jay Louis Risley would of been my Grandfather and James W. Risley my dad. Jay went under the name Jerry at times. Jay was married to Bertha Linneman. from Palatine, IL. Would love to learn more about
