Herbert Morley shown on 1901 census for England and wales as having been born in St john NB. In 1882 a copy of a birth certificate for his first born (Emily) shows him living with his wife Mary ellen Monaghan in Swansea South Wales his occupation is that of a ships rigger. He went on to have two more sons Henry, and Herbert. Emily died of Tb aged fifteen in 1897. In 1899 her mother mary Ellen also died from Tb. herbert remarried in 1901 a widow named martha Elliott with two young sons of her own .The marriage certificate names Jonathan Morley as Herbert's father, still living occupation clerk in holy orders. Herbert had changed his occupation from that of ships rigger to Inspector for telephone company. He died in 1905 in Cardiff S Wales. He had a daughter with Martha, chistened Clarissa. I have not been able to find any birth certificate for herbert, or copy of his marriage to mary Ellen Monaghan. His father jonathan too has remained elusive. So it would be a wonderful chink in my brick wall if i could manage to find some new brunswick connection. I live in hope.Theresa Morrow.
