I can not find a birth certificate for my Grandfather Walter James Treadaway. I have a Marriage Certificate that says Father James Treadaway Living and Mother Jane deceased. He married Lizzie Kirk of the Burnsville area in Anson County NC. Her father, a Bullard was an Overseer and moved to Robeson County N C ( Lumberton) about the same time Jane was married. Also a sister did not show up on any census report after that move , so I a sume she married also. Betty Treadway Parker

PS My Treadaway/ Treadway and married name Parker all from Anson County

Betty,

My mother is trying to find out about her great grandmother, Lizzie Kirk Treadaway. She was on the 1900 census and was not on the 1910 census. We found a document that said she gave birth to a Jim Treadaway in 1905. She married Walter James Treadaway. If you find out anything, please post it. We wandered if she died during childbirth, because Walter James Treadaway was remarried. They had a daughter that was adopted by the time the 1910 census was done. Her name was Addie Treadway Adams.
