As mentioned in another question similar to this, we would need more information to do an accurate search. Just on WikiTree we have over 600 surnames of Swann. These Swanns are located everywhere from the United States including North Carolina, West Virginia, and Maryland to name a few, to other countries such as New Zealand, England and Canada. 

Narrowing it down for us with any little bit of information can go a long way. If the parents were from New Zealand, the probability is high that the grandparents would be from New Zealand and not the United States for example. 

I hope that makes sense and encourages you to share with us anything, no matter how insignificant!!!! We want to help, we really do.

When I see Lynn Swann, I think of a USA football player.  Perhaps that's who's meant here, too.  Most people who have only been doing genealogy for a while don't realize how many people there are with relatively common given and surnames as in this case.  If it is the USA Football player it would be best to go to Wikipedia enter the name and you'll either get him or a disambiguation page which will let you select him.  Once you've found him his parents should be there and perhaps the grandparents too.  But assuming the parents were born before 1940, there's a good chance you can find the 1940 census and then you're off to the races.

Thanks Dave, hopefully the asker "anonymous" will check their question and read your post. Anonymous had posted another question earlier with no information as well only for his/her parents, this one was for his/her grandparents so I decided to put that in my response trying not only for this person but others to realize any and all information is so very helpful for others to search for the information they want.
