David's first name

Question

Hello,

Donald Noble was my great-grandfather.  I descend through Donald's oldest child, George, Jean's older brother.  I've never seen anything in our records indicating Donald was ever called David.  Do you have anything confirming this?  There are a number of Donalds in the family that seem to morph into Daniels, but I've never seen one changing to David.

The profile for DAVID NOBLE does say " otherwise known as Donald "  ( aka Don  OR  Donald ) Please make sure it is your family , though - check all the dates and sources that it's the same Noble family.

Maybe David is his middle name ?
