Do I have to manually create my tree even though I uploaded a GEDCOM?

I uploaded a GEDCOM on here and I looked at my tree but all I saw was my profile and blanks for my parents. Shouldn't the tree have been created from my GEDCOM?

I don't work with gedcoms, but I think there's a lag time/gap between when you upload your gedcom and when it's added to the WikiTree. Did you look at the GEDCOM FAQsunder the Help Index? http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/GEDCOM_FAQ

You may have already seen this after Liz pointed out the FAQ. Here is the answer:

Why is your family tree still empty after your file was imported?

You just need to merge or connect the relationships. That isn't done automatically since not every imported file begins with the user who imported it.

How do I add my tree when I found no matches?
I just joined WikiTree yesterday. I created a profile and uploaded my GEDCOM file. And then waited .. I thought that a tree akin to the Ancestry DNA would be automatically created. Am I understanding this correctly that in order to create a similar looking tree, it must be done manually? Please advise. Thank you.
