why is a profile given to someone[who has no connectionto that  family or profile ] & they do not even want to work on this.you say you can remove your name but others say they have done that  but it continues'

changes are made or merged & then put in Project : Data Base Errors  [ some of which is wrong information to start with.] A Lot Of You are doing a Great job correcting our mistakes but we do not all have the ability to put it in a correct form as you would like us to do.we would like to do this as a relaxing time for us & try to learn more about our ancestors in our family tree.

7 then it shows up that it needs to be cleaned up or some other message.a lot of us do not understand how to follow your rules & regulations of how to go about doing all of this.even after reading instructions . we do not want to make more mistakes . so what are we to do ? if we do not know how to do it the correct way then should we just not attempt to create these profiles of our  ancestors at all

Martha, I'm not sure what situation is causing you so much consternation. However, I can say that there is no mandate to fix the things that are identified as db_errors. Those messages are intended to help us improve our genealogy and our ancestors' profiles.

Most of the items reported in the "error report" for your user ID are editorial items (for example, "Uncleaned profile after merge"). If you don't understand the editorial issues, don't worry about them.

A few of the errors are related to a possible mistake in the genealogy -- something most of us want to be alerted to, although they can be hard to correct, especially when the problem is in some other contributor's data from an unknown source. One example of a possible mistake is "Mother was dead before birth." That may indicate a typo in a date, or possibly someone assigned the wrong mother to a child. Or maybe the mother died in connection with childbirth and the computer algorithm compared the child's birthdate and death date and concluded she died before the birth. (I've seen that happen when there is a date certain for the child's birth, such as March 1, 1820, and the mother's death date is only a year, such as 1820.)
