Do I make a tree for my spouse side of family or do i just keep adding them together??

On your Profile page, click the EDIT tab from across the top.  On the right hand side click on (add/remove) spouse to add your husband.

Then from his page, you can add his parents using the same steps - click (add father) or ( add mother) etc.  As you expand the tree, such as add child to one of their pages, there will be an option to click to connect to the same 'other parent'.

On WikiTree you can make a tree for any family branch that isn't already here - either by branching off from an existing profile or by entering the first person as a standalone and going on from there. In this case, starting by entering your husband sounds like the best idea.

On the other hand, I know that I'm reluctant to add living people to the tree - my family members aren't all that involved in genealogy. I recently found a key ancestor that makes my son and his wife something like eleventh cousins once removed - so I started that branch from wayback and entered most of the way down to the present; then stopped a generation before the living people, because I felt I wanted to think more about this first. (And there's so much else to do on WikiTree).
