Hi Ann,

No I'm not related. It would be extremely unusual to register a birth a year late, and there were serious financial penalties for doing so. If they tried to register the child as newborn when she was in fact a year old it would certainly have been noticed. It is far more likely that her birth was in 1894 not 1893. The only way to know for certain is to buy the certificate. This would note if the parents had paid the fine and/or made a legal declaration in order to register a late birth.

Unusual that there weren't any births of other children 1893-1901.
